How it works

How a branding engagement actually runs

Five stages, around six weeks for a full identity. You approve a direction early, before the expensive work starts.

01Week 1

Discovery and positioning

A working session on what the brand has to do — who it is for, who it competes with, and what it must communicate in the two seconds before anyone reads a word. Identity work without this stage is decoration.

02Week 1–2

Visual territories

Two or three genuinely distinct directions, presented as concept boards rather than finished logos. You choose a direction while it is still cheap to change your mind.

03Week 2–4

Identity design

The chosen direction resolved into a full system: primary logo, secondary lockups, a standalone mark, colour palette with accessible contrast pairs, type hierarchy and layout principles.

04Week 4–5

Application

The identity tested against real surfaces — packaging, social templates, signage, a pitch deck, a website header. A logo that works on a white slide and nowhere else is not finished.

05Week 5–6

Guidelines and handoff

A brand book covering usage, spacing, misuse and tone, plus every file format your printers, developers and team will actually need. You own all of it.

Budget

What drives the price of brand design

Brand design is the service where quoted prices vary most wildly — from a few thousand rupees on a marketplace to several lakh at a large agency. The difference is almost never talent. It is scope, and specifically how much of the system is actually built.

A logo is one deliverable. A brand identity is a system that lets other people produce on-brand work without you. These are the variables that decide which one you are buying.

How many directions you want to see. We present two or three considered territories. Agencies offering fifty concepts are generating volume, not thinking — and you will still only use one.
Breadth of application. A logo plus colour and type is the floor. Packaging, signage, vehicle livery, exhibition stands and a full social template set each add real production work.
Whether naming is included. Naming is a separate discipline with its own research and trademark screening. Most engagements start with a name already chosen.
Print versus digital scope. Print brings colour management, bleed, substrate testing and press-ready artwork. Digital-only identities skip all of it.
Depth of the guidelines. A one-page usage sheet is quick. A full brand book that a distributed team can work from without asking you questions takes considerably longer and is worth more.

How we structure engagements

Full identity project.

Naming optional, complete visual system, applications and brand book. Fixed price and fixed timeline. Typically five to six weeks.

Brand refresh.

You keep your existing equity and modernise the execution — type, colour, layout, digital behaviour. Faster and cheaper than starting over, and usually the right call for an established business.

Collateral retainer.

Ongoing design production against an agreed monthly allocation once the identity exists — campaigns, decks, packaging variants, festive creative.

Every engagement is quoted as a fixed price before work begins. Tell us what you are building and we will scope it properly.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn't

Brand work goes wrong when expectations were never aligned. Here is ours, stated plainly.

This is a good fit if

You are launching and need to look credible to customers, partners or investors from day one.
Your identity has drifted — every channel looks slightly different because everyone is improvising.
Your brand looks dated beside newer competitors, and it is costing you consideration.
You are moving into a new market or category and the current identity does not stretch.
You need a system your own team can apply without coming back to a designer every time.

Look elsewhere if

You need a logo tomorrow for the lowest possible price — a marketplace will serve you better than we will.
You want fifty concepts to choose from. We present two or three we can defend, and we explain why.
You want a close copy of a competitor's identity. We will not do it, and it would not work anyway.
You only need a website designed — that is UI/UX design, and it is a different engagement.

Brand system

Review Unbiased

Brand strategy, identity and a full editorial system built to hold together across a live, continuously published technology review site — the hardest test of a visual system is daily use by other people.

FAQ

Graphic Design Questions

We typically present three distinct logo directions in the first round. Each concept is strategically grounded and presented in context (mockups, color variations). You choose a direction, and we refine through two additional revision rounds to reach the final.
All logo and brand mark deliverables include: SVG, AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, PDF (vector), and PNG (transparent background, multiple sizes). Print-ready CMYK and digital RGB versions are both provided.
Yes. Logo refinement or evolution is a common engagement — preserving brand equity while modernizing the mark. We start with a brand audit to understand what works and what doesn't before proposing changes.
All our graphic design deliverables are prepared for both print (CMYK, bleed, resolution) and digital (RGB, optimized file sizes). We also provide social media-optimized variants of all key brand assets.
The range is enormous, and the driver is scope rather than talent. A single logo file is one deliverable; a brand identity system — logo family, colour, type, layout rules, applications and a guidelines document — is a different purchase entirely. We scope against how many applications you need, whether print is involved, and how thorough the guidelines have to be, then quote a fixed price before starting. We are happy to indicate a range on a first call.
Two or three genuinely distinct directions, each one we can argue for. This is deliberate. Agencies presenting thirty options are producing volume rather than thinking, and it pushes the decision onto you without any reasoning attached. We would rather bring fewer, stronger directions and explain the case for each.
Yes, always. You receive editable vector source files, every export format your printers and developers will need, and full ownership of the final identity. There are no ongoing licence fees and nothing is withheld. That is stated in our engagement terms rather than left ambiguous.
If your name and market position still work and only the execution looks dated, a refresh is usually right — it is faster, cheaper, and keeps the recognition you have already paid to build. A full rebrand makes sense when the business has genuinely changed: a new category, a new audience, or a merger. Most businesses that ask for a rebrand actually need a refresh.
Yes. We produce press-ready artwork with correct colour profiles, bleed and dielines, and we can liaise directly with your printer to check proofs. Print is scoped separately from digital because it carries genuine additional production work — colour management across substrates is not a rounding error.
