How it works

How we run a marketing engagement

Measurement first. Every optimisation after that is only as good as the numbers underneath it.

01Week 1

Measurement audit

Before we spend anything, we verify that what you are already measuring is true. Broken conversion tracking is the most common problem we find, and every optimisation decision made on top of it is wrong.

02Week 1–2

Strategy and allocation

Channel selection, audience definition, a target cost per qualified lead, and a budget split we can defend. Which channels we skip is as important as which we run.

03Week 2–3

Build and instrument

Campaign structure, conversion tracking wired to real business events, landing pages and creative. Structure decided now determines what you can optimise for the next twelve months.

04Ongoing

Run and optimise

Search term review, negative keyword work, bid and budget adjustment, creative testing. Weekly in the first month, then on a settled cadence.

05Monthly

Report in plain English

What happened, what we changed, what it cost per qualified lead, and what we are doing next. Reports name the decisions, not just the dashboards.

Budget

What you actually pay for, and why

Marketing retainers are usually quoted as a percentage of ad spend, which quietly rewards an agency for spending more of your money. We price on the work involved instead, and quote it as a fixed monthly fee.

Ad spend goes directly to the platforms and is entirely yours to control. These are the variables that determine the management fee.

Number of channels. One search account is straightforward. Search plus shopping plus paid social plus organic search is four disciplines with four reporting surfaces and four optimisation cadences.
Whether measurement already works. If conversion tracking is broken or missing, that is a fixed setup cost in month one. It is also non-negotiable — we will not optimise against numbers we know are wrong.
Creative production needs. Managing existing creative is one thing. Producing new ad creative, landing pages and festive campaign assets each month is another, and it is where most of the recurring effort sits.
Competitiveness of your category. Some verticals need constant search term policing to avoid waste. Others settle quickly and need lighter management. We will tell you which one you are in after the audit.
Organic scope. SEO and AI-search visibility work — content, technical fixes, structured data — is separate from paid media and scoped separately, because the timelines are completely different.

How we structure engagements

Monthly retainer.

Ongoing management across agreed channels with a fixed fee, defined deliverables and monthly reporting. The standard arrangement for anything continuous.

One-off account audit.

A fixed-price review of an existing account — structure, tracking, search terms, wasted spend — with a prioritised fix list. No commitment to ongoing work.

Campaign project.

A defined push around a launch, a festive peak or a seasonal window. Fixed scope, fixed dates, fixed price.

Every engagement is quoted as a fixed price before work begins. Tell us what you are building and we will scope it properly.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn't

Marketing relationships fail on mismatched expectations more than on performance. Ours, up front.

This is a good fit if

You are spending on ads but cannot say which campaigns produce actual customers.
Your conversion numbers do not match what your sales team sees in the pipeline.
Leads are arriving in volume but most of them are junk.
You want to be found in AI answers and not only in classic search results.
You have a festive or seasonal peak and need the run-up planned rather than improvised.

Look elsewhere if

You want guaranteed first-position rankings. Nobody can honestly promise that, and anyone who does is describing something else.
You want us to buy backlinks. It works briefly and then costs far more to undo than it ever returned.
You expect meaningful organic results within a month. Paid media moves fast; organic search does not.
You are not willing to change how conversions are tracked, even when we can show the current setup is wrong.

Where we've measured the difference

Our own data and a documented before-and-after, rather than logos on a wall.

Measured outcome

What an audit actually changes

A before-and-after on a real client site: what the audit found, what was fixed, and what actually moved afterwards. Numbers rather than adjectives.

FAQ

Digital Marketing Questions

SEO is a long-term investment. Most clients begin seeing meaningful movement in keyword rankings and organic traffic within 3–4 months of consistent work. Significant results — traffic increases of 50%+ — typically require 6–12 months depending on the competition in your niche.
Our minimum engagement is three months. This is the minimum time required to build, launch, optimize, and begin learning from campaigns. Month-to-month retainers are available after the initial three-month period.
Yes. We manage your ad accounts on Google, Meta, and other platforms. Your ad spend is billed directly to your account (not through us), and you have full visibility and control at all times. We charge a management fee separately.
Yes — content creation (graphics, captions, scheduling) is included in our social media management packages. All content is reviewed and approved by you before posting. We also create platform-specific formats for Reels, Stories, and carousels.
Separate the two numbers. Ad spend goes to the platforms and is set by how many qualified leads you need and what one costs in your category — we can estimate that after an audit. The management fee is a separate, fixed monthly amount based on channel count, creative needs and whether measurement already works. Be cautious of agencies charging a percentage of ad spend: it rewards them for spending more of your money.
Paid media can produce qualified leads within days. Organic search does not work that way. Expect early movement in impressions within four to six weeks of substantive content and technical work, and meaningful position changes over three to six months. Anyone promising first-page rankings in thirty days is either buying links, targeting terms nobody searches, or both.
Usually because the ad platform was told to optimise for the wrong event. If every raw form fill counts as a conversion, the algorithm learns to find people who fill in forms — which is not the same as people who buy. We reconfigure conversion tracking so that only qualified leads and actual sales are treated as primary conversions, then let the platform re-learn against those. Lead volume typically falls and lead quality rises.
Yes, and it is now part of every organic engagement rather than an add-on. In practice it means clear structured data, content organised so that individual passages can be quoted, published author and date signals, machine-readable descriptions of your services, and being cited by sources those systems already trust. Much of it overlaps with classic SEO, but the citation and entity signals are genuinely different work.
Yes, and we usually start with a fixed-price audit before any ongoing commitment. That gives you a prioritised list of what is wrong — account structure, tracking accuracy, wasted search terms, bidding strategy — and you can act on it yourself or hand it back to us. We would rather show the value first than ask for a retainer on trust.
